S'mored Banana Dip

This is Part 3 of My Camping Series. For more camping info, check out the links at the bottom of this post.

We love cooking over the campfire when we go camping: hot dogs, s'mores, sausage sticks and more. One of our newest favorites is  S'mored Banana Dip. Basically this came from a failed attempt at a banana boat that you see frequently. It's now a staple for our last night at camp.

  • Aluminum Foil
  • Mini-Marshmallows
  • Chocolate bar
  • Banana- I like one that is a little over rip, it makes it easy to mush into the dip.
  • Graham Crackers

1. Peel and lay the banana on the shinny side of a sheet of aluminum foil.

 2. Add lots of mini-marshmallows.

3. Break up the chocolate bar and cover the banana and marshmallows.

4.Close the aluminum foil into a pouch.

5. turn over and wrap in one more sheet of aluminum foil making sure the dull side is on the outside.

6. Place next to, but not in, the campfire. Cook for about 15-20 min. You may want to check on it every 5-10 min depending on the temperature of your fire.

7. Carefully remove from the fire.  Use a fork to mix and mash any unmixed ingredients.

8. Serve HOT with Graham crackers for dipping.

Yes, I know that this is not the most appealing recipe, but it tastes AMAZING!! It's almost like fondue at camp.
