The following is a guest post from Elizabeth L. at Hebrew National

Hi everyone! This is Elizabeth writing on behalf of Hebrew National today, and I can’t wait to share this recipe for Franks with Sauerkraut Relish with all of you. Most of the Oktoberfest celebrations are already over with, but if you haven’t had your fill of the German festival yet, then this recipe is for you. This dish is really easy to make, and it will be ready in only ten minutes!

Did you know that the first Oktoberfest was celebrated in 1810? Over two hundred years later, this festival is still celebrated in Munich. You can bring some of the fun to your kitchen table with this recipe, which combines green bell pepper, onion, sauerkraut, brown sugar, vinegar, and celery seed served on a hot dog. If you’re interested in finding a few more hot dog recipes, then check out the Hebrew National site.
