Chocolate Bowls

I have wanted to make chocolate bowls for a while. These were so much easier than I expected!

  • Cookie Sheet
  • Balloons (I like these small ones)
  • Cocolate
  • Freezer
  • Scissors
  • Goodies to fill your bowls with (Ice Cream, Fruit, Whip Topping, Etc.)
 1. Melt the chocolate according to the package directions. A 4oz box made about 4.5 small bowls.

2. While the chocolate cools a little (You don't want the balloons to pop), blow up the balloons.

3. Put a small dollop of chocolate on the cookie sheet. This will be the base of the bowl.

4. Dip a balloon in the chocolate. You will want to roll it around to evenly coat the sides as high as you want the bowl.

5. Set the balloon ontop of the dollop. Hold it for just a few seconds till it will stand alone.

*For a banana split bowl: Use a spoon to evenly spread chocolate onto an elongated balloon.

*I had a little bit of white and dark chocolate left, so I made a chocolate swirl bowl.

 6. Put the tray in the freezer for at least an hour.

 7. Remove the bowl from the cookie sheet first.

8. Then pop the balloon with scissors or a needle. Remove any balloon debris.

 9. Serve imidiatly or return to the freezer untill you're ready to serve.

These little guys are perfect for a sundae or filled with your favorite fruits. And are GREAT for a party!! They are a big hit with the kids as you can see from this selfie I found on my phone of Rosey Posey and Bubee. ROFL!
